Information about the .rt (rt) file type

Below is all the information we have available on file about the .rt (rt) file type.

.rt

RealText (caption) file. This is a text file that contains xml style instructions that a RealPlayer will used for displaying text (or captions) with a RealPlayer presentation.

There is normally a corresponding RealPlayer .smi file that indicates the play sequence of the .rt file and its relationship to .rm files. The text in the .rt file can be viewed by opening the file using a text editor, but the full set of files (and RealPlayer) are required to view the text in context.
