Information about the .gi (gi) file type

Below is all the information we have available on file about the .gi (gi) file type.

.gi

Global Image file. A .gi file is a DVD/CD image file that uses a proprietary format and is not supported by most CD/DVD applications.

A .gi file can be produced (or opened by) "Sonic RecordNow", "Sonic RecordNow Plus" or "Roxio Digital Media". If you are creating a CD/DVD image which you wish others to use who may not have one of those software packages then saving the image as .iso (if you have that option) will give you greater compatibility.
