Pinnacle Studio file. A .cos2 file is a file that Pinnacle Studio generates when working on media files (i.e. when Pinnacle Studio is used in edit mode). Each media file (for example .wma or .wmv) may have a corresponding .cos2 file. The .cos2 file contains information that allows Pinnacle Studio to continue from where it last left off working on a file.

These files can be deleted to save space. Pinnacle Studio will recreate them as necessary.
